Pioneer Heroes – Trailer

1987. Olga, Katya and Andrey are going to be Pioneers. Sticking up to Soviet ideology, the kids dream of becoming heroes.
They are going to be the last Pioneers of the USSR. Nowadays in their 30’s, they are facing another reality with no place for heroic deeds.

Pioneer Heroes (пионеры-герои) is the debut feature film directed and written by Natalya Kudryashova and it is having its world premiere at Berlinale Panorama. Kudryashova is also the leading actress and the rest of the cast is Daria Moroz, Aleksei Mitin and Varya Shablakova.
