A Barbie and 3 singing birds by David Lynch
A Barbie doll, named Trixie, that goes through some unconventional ways of meditation was the persona that David Lynch chose to receive on his behalf the honorary award at the 2015 Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Awards (TDIA). The short film that the director sent to be screened at the closing ceremony of the 2015 TDIA follows a similar path to his recent short film creations so Lynch seems to stay faithful to his new path and especially to the Signature Cup Coffee 2011 ad. If a video of a Barbie’s close-up seems already unconventional then the the ending with three “partisan” DigiBirds singing “Bella Ciao” is absolutely acceptable!
