Sickert Poster

An important exhibition of 50 film posters by Margrit and Peter Sickert is organized by the 65th Berlinale. The famous graphic designer couple has worked from the 1960s to the 1990s creating over 300 film posters for films by Wim Wenders, Rainer Werner Fassbinder and Alexander Kluge, among others. Hence the Sickerts became another form of expression and the true representatives of the New German Cinema to the public. It should be noted that their international work includes posters for films by Martin Scorsese, Ettore Scola and William Friedkin.

The exhibition will open at 6.00 pm on February 2, 2015 with the artists in attendance, and run from February 3 to 15, 2015 at Haus der Berliner Festspiele.
